Pathogen Testing

ASH is proposing an additional requirement to Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3:

1, Write and follow a FDA-compliant food safety plan for leafy greens and other crops, including a traceability and food-borne illness recall plan.

2. Maintain a testing regimen for background pathogen contamination in seeds, growing media, water reservoirs and delivery systems, equipment and facilities, and pathogen presence in salable produce.

3, Retain records including test results for 5 years.
