CHiPS Scope 2: Covered Indoor Grows

Covered indoor hydroponic operations covered in Scope 2 exhibit significantly more variables than the enclosed systems in Scope 1. While they are partially protected from outside pests and contaminants by walls and roofs, there may be circumstances that might call for significant toxic applications under conventional farm management. Scope 2 CHiPS standards start with OMRI listed or NOP inputs compliant inputs, including certified organic seeds, but will address many other aspects of cultivation in facilities where inside and outside threats commingle.
